Golden in color, light haze, wisp of a white head. Very buttery, alcohol is pretty tame, mild pear notes. Medium bodied. Too buttery. Not incredibly bad but it misses the mark for a Belgian Tripel.

Bu sur place en fut (12 oz), le 11/5/08. Blonde peu claire, mince collet.

(Rating #1611)

Hazy amber ale with a thick white head. Light malt and good alcohol aroma, woith light maple notes, and pears. Very sweet with definite maple and yeast in mouth, alcohol comming sharply. Some cookie dough with coriander and cloves. Medium bodied. Sampled in May 2005.

Pours a slightly hazy medium orange with a thin fading head. Very sweet candi sugar-like aroma with some spice, yeast and fruit. Some diacetyl and butterscotch in the flavor and aroma, along with more candi sugar. Thin and light body with low carbonation for style.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy beige, light head, light lacing. Nose of humid wood, sweet hops, creamy tart malt. The flavor is nice and sweet with light yeast. Balanced acidity throughout. Almost like fresh oak aged with nice cherry undertones. A bit of bourbon rounds it out nicely. I didn’t know these two mixed (from experience), but this one pulled it off.
