Reudnitzer Ur-Bock Hell

50 cL bottle, trade with kappldav123. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Smooth malty and cornish aroma with a mild acidity. Sweet caramel malty and light bitterness coming through. Mild bitterness and light alcohol presence. Bitter into the far finish yet still smooth.

Gehört zu den schlechtesten Bieren, die ich bisher getestet habe. Der Nachgeschmack geht ja überhaupt nicht, eine absolute Katastrophe. Eine sehr unangenehme Würze, viel zu übertrieben.

500 ml bottle. Orange golden colour. Clear with a medium-sized white head. Nutty sweet malty aroma. Very clean. Distinct, but still gentle, bitterness. Mellow maltiness. Caramel. Sweet flavours, but not that sweet as the hop bitterness balances most of it out. Finishes mostly bitter, but from low alpha acid hops. Nothing special, but a nice easy-drinking bock.

Offwhite shiny medium head. Light orange body with carbonation. Milky, caramelly aroma with faint earth and paper notes. Sweet, papery, caramelly taste with dry background. Quite good, and clearly well made, but not very complex. (0.5l bottle.)

Thanks to larsga for sharing this one. Light amber, smells of yeast. A little smoky and malty aroma, but I found this strangely thin for a beer this strong. But should a helles have amber colour?
