Jul 14, 2004 Deep clear gold; good white fine head, leaving fine lace. Piney nose, rich malts, mostly light but some Caramalt too it would seem. And a bit of the drains. Dry, bready taste - not specifically dark German bread, rather fresh, white bread. Alcohol very obvious for rather middled ABV, also in the taste, giving it a grain-spirit character. Fleetingly bitter impression. Dry, alcoholburn; medium bodied. Aftertaste is again liqueurish; sweet & alcohol. A beer that overshoots its ABV and category by far. Very difficult one to classify - or to appreciate fully.

Feb 9, 2004 Bottled. Light orange golden colour. Fine, sudsy, white head that dissipates to just remnants. Cheep corn syrup aroma. Medium to low bitterness and medium length on the palate. Didn't really detect the spicyness romoured to be in this one.
