Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA May 11, 2008 This poured a reddish orange body with a short-lived beige head. Has a juicy, malty aroma along with some apples, black pepper, and a light earthy bitterness. Thick and oily in the mouth. The flavor seemed earthy in both malt and hops. There’s a slight presence of orchard fruit, the lively spiciness of rye, and an herbal bitterness. Not bad. There seems to be an aweful lot of rye beers out there for them to be concerted "Specialty Grain" brews much longer.

IrishBoy (2043), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bomber from Enniskillen; Nose is yeasty ryebread, strong caramel, and light vanilla and clove notes; rust red with a small cinnamon tinged, beige head; flavor of light hop bitterness, caramel, and a little rye; finish is light bitterness and alcohol warmth and more rye; Bison gets no respect because it’s organic; this one is way underrated and is an excellent beer! kwoeltje (1176), Manchester, Missouri, USA Jul 13, 2008 (750 ml bottle) Deep amber with off white head. Malt aroma. Flavor was malt, rye, some spice, some grassy hops in the finish. Palidor19 (1194), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 This beer grows on me, its got some nice malts with mild caramel and cocoa flavors, in the back is some rye. this is good.
nick76 (1960), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 The aroma has caramel, pine hops, chocolate, and rye. The appearance is deep amber with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a very good beer for a very good cause. BorksBabe (68), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 Aroma of caramel, chocolate malt and rye. Very dark red in color with a non-existent head. Malty flavor with hints of caramel, with a hoppy bitterness- maybe from the caraway? Smooth palate with a slightly bitter aftertaste from the hops. Overall, a nice beer.
