Bottle. Pours a clear crimson ruby brown with a thin beige head. Cloying caramel right up front. Really sweet aromas. More caramel on the body, but a lot of emptiness and stale malt. A bit of cardboard and light bitterness on the finish.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a sweet lightly bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear pale amber with a small, rough off-white head. Roasted malty nose. Medium body, some roasted malts but in a dry fashion. A little hops in the finish. A dryish Dunkel. 161209

Bottle: Glowing ruby brown with a rusty orange hue and an off white film of head. Clean toasted Munich malts- dry with a lightly sweet bready heartiness. Creamy light body. Clean flavor with toasted rounded Munich malts. Some mild raisin & brown sugar maltose character. A standard flawless classic Dunkel profile, but nothing standout.

Bottle from Tiffany’s in Kalamazoo, MI. Dark brown with red tint and medium, creamy beige head. Aroma is slightly sweet and red fruit with some grain, a little bit of stinkiness, some nuttiness. Flavor is medium sweet and minerally, red fruit, grain, bread and nuttiness. Medium to light body, slightly watery with chalkiness. No bad, a little off though.
