Quack-Duck (2207), Bodensee, Germany Oct 6, 2007 bottle, thank you MoritzF and pivnizub! Orange-yellow colour, tiny head. Malty, slightly sweet, hints of roasted malt, caramel and toffee. Rather low carbonation, bit still a well-rounded and pleasant brew. MiP (6742), Flensburg, Germany Sep 8, 2007 Draught at BBF07. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is quite mild. A little fruity with a hint of yeast. Low bitterness. A little boring. pivnizub (4181), Porúří, Germany Jul 13, 2007 Bottle: Deep golden to light amber coloured, smaller, quite stable white head, pale malt, a tinge of toasted malt and a touch of hops in the nose; moderate to robust bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; mainly a bitter end, rounded by some malty waves. a pleasant, spicy, rounded brew....... MoritzF (4046), Ruhrpott, Germany May 29, 2007 (bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized, slightly yellow foamy head. Sweet and toasty malt-aroma, slightly nutty with light notes of caramel.Light bodied, but surprisingly bitter flavour, thus quite tasteful; herbal and quite dry hoppy taste on a soft toast-malty background, soft carbonation; dry and bitter hops accented finish with a lingering aftertaste. Not perfectly balanced but a surprimgsly tasty Pilsener-like Landbier with a raw hop-character.
