Draft pint at the brewpub. Rosy red with an initially poofy but quickly receding head. I swear there’s a berry aroma and it carries to the first swallow .. and beyond. Interesting interpretation of the style, much sweeter than most, but certainly drinkable. (#3343, 3/8/2008)

Average, I had an espresso stout which taste may have overpowered. (watery in comparison) Perhaps a good session beer.

Good ruddy brown colour, low white head. Malty aroma. Pretty rich thick malt flavour with a little grain. Good plain ale.

5th Richmond Gathering, on tap at the pub, 2nd stop of the crawl after Legend. Medium amber, slight head. Aroma is a touch of caramel with a faint, undefined bitterness. Flavor matched. Uninspiring, just not that good. But nothing exactly "wrong" here either.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear amber with a slight white head. Light malt nose, a hint of nuttiness. Lightly sweet malt flavor, light caramel. OK.

Clear amber body with a small off-white head. Dry malty aroma, some graininess. Dry malty flavor, some chocolate, a touch of caramel, and a bit of grain.
