Probably a little too sweet for me. caramelly sweetness from the malt, piney, fruity hop notes. With alcoholic warmth at the end. Probably a little too much for me in terms of the sweetness, but ther is some nice flavours. Kinz (2211), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Picked up a 22 during the 5th Richmond Gathering pubcrawl. Pours a deep, slightly murky amber, with practically no head. Aroma of thick caramel, molasses, and brown sugar. Very little carbonation. Flavor is sweet dark caramel, sugary finish. There are some hops floating in the background to give a bit of a cooked grapefruit note, but that is almost entirely obliterated by the sugar overload. Not quite there yet, but I hope they keep playing with this style. joss (3682), Garching b. München, Germany
