Oct 13, 2003 Mostly copper apperance. Aroma is of caramel malt, hints of honey. Expected more sweetness on the taste. Thick and sticky mouthfeel with too little carbonation. OK barleywine.

Oct 11, 2003 Copper with some orange and a nice fine particled head. Aroma is sweet fruit and caramel malt. The flavor is slightly nutty but mostly sweet caramel. Syrupy body but not overly full. Overall a decent barley wine.

Oct 11, 2003 Copper body with creamy beige head. Aroma is sticky sweet malty, caramel, cherry. Taste is sweet, grapefruit bitter, caramel, some earthy. Medium-full body (but a trifle light for a barleywine).

Oct 11, 2003 Nice. Nose malty, toffee and butterscotch. Alcohol very well-masked, very malty, subtle sweetness, caramel/toffee notes, a bit smoky. Full, good palate, but could use a bit more carbonation.

Jun 19, 2000 Not quite as good as it was last year, which tasted very similar to Sierra Nevada’s Bigfoot, but still noteworthy indeed. Just a little too fruity this year. Very complex & tasty flavor though; full bodied on the palate. As far as I know, only available in the downstairs bar.
