Copper body with creamy beige head. Aroma is sticky sweet malty, caramel, cherry. Taste is sweet, grapefruit bitter, caramel, some earthy. Medium-full body (but a trifle light for a barleywine).

LCRBM2: Vinous caramelly aroma. Malty. Alcoholic flavor, the alcohol burns down all other flavors, in fact.

Bottle. Another sweet US barleywine. Probably a little too sweet for me. caramelly sweetness from the malt, piney, fruity hop notes. With alcoholic warmth at the end. Probably a little too much for me in terms of the sweetness, but ther is some nice flavours.

No head left; hazy dark-red/brown beer. American hops, chocolate cake, and a bit of piney resins. Hoppy, chocolate, vinous but nowhere distinctive. A stereotypic American Barley Wine tastewise. Alcoholburn, malt overload, fusels, dry finish. If you’re looking for anything BUT discreet, there’s a starter. Then go to 3 Floyds Dreadnaught.

Bottled, LCRBM. Pleasant and strong malty, fruity aroma. Hazy, brown color, small off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, fruity and lots of hops. A heavy beer yet still very drinkable.

On tap at Brewpub (2008 vintage 12.3%)
Appearance: deep , clean brown , mahogany with dark aged copper , light top. 3-
Nose: big , ripe , rich fruit , plenty of plum with shot of vodka. Prunes.
Flavor/Palate : Heavy , sticky , oily body with smooth qualities. Mild with warming alcohol on prune spread. Brown malts and candy sugar. Well executed for such size. Neat winter warmer.

LCRBM2. Murky brown. Flowery hops, light chocolate, vineous. Complex flavor - Flowery and fruity (orangepeel), wooden, roasted finish. Good chewy body.
