Richbrau Belgian-Style White Ale

(Sample Date: 12/23/2008 Source:Richbrau Brewery) Very light Belgian yeast character in aroma along with a slight fruitiness. Cloudy light golden with orange tint and small white head. Flavor of light fruits, peach, pear, and sugar. Sweet but dries quickly with nice peppery finish. Excellent job.

on tap-pours a white head and hazy straw color. Aroma is banana, wheat, yeast. Taste is clove upfront, banana, wheat, yeast. OK effervescence.

Hazy light yellow body, low white head that dies away quickly. Citrus aroma, good banana flavour. Very refreshing.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy, dark straw with a small white head. Spicy lemongrass nose, some light pepper and wheat. Flavor follows the nose, and adds a mild graininess. OK.

Bottled. Nice gold color with lemon accents, slight head. Spicy aroma, focus on coriander and white pepper, hint of ash. Flavor is initially coriander, goes into some grain, and then has a bit of citrus on the finish, but still plenty of spice. Not bad at all really.

Tap at Richbrau -- Cloudy gold body with a large white head. Yeast aromas, some light fruits. Nice taste, delacate body that is surprisingly complex. Cool ending.

On tap at the brewpub on 12/23/2008. Cloudy white body with a medium rocky white head. Sweet citrus and wheat aroma. Sweet citrus, orange, and lemon zest flavor with light wheat. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation. 7/2/7/4/15 - 3.5 05/24/2006: Hazy orange color with a creamy white head. Sweet banana and spice aroma. Flavor of light banana and lots of spice. 6/3/7/4/14 - 3.4

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy yellow color with thin white head. No lace. Lots of coriander aroma and flavor without much orange. Dry with a nice yeasty note.
