Lasting malt finish. Not a lot of flavor with this one. This is by far the best Rich Brau I’ve had. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Tangy bitter chocolate, fairly dry. As it warms you can pick up parched peanuts in addition to the coffee and baker’s cocoa. Easy drinking, but with good character. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Heavy caramel in the aroma accompanied by chocolate and toasted notes. Not nearly enough coffee or burnt flavors for me to consider this one a porter. Surprisingly sweet, too sweet to be exact. A little thin too, this one is more like an overly sweet nut-brown ale.... Should be a porter kinda tastes like homebrew, which isn’t bad at all, especially if you’ve tried some good homebrew. But I’m not quite sure if this could be a true porter. The start is a little sour and the finish is really dry. Not getting a whole lot of porter out of it except for some fleeting moments on the palate. Not bad, not great. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Dark ruby brown. Cookie malt in the aroma with slight chocolate. Body is thin. Really could use a little beefing up in the malt department to be a truly good porter.
