Pure black body with a light tan head. Heavy caramel, chocolate and maybe some hints of butterscotch in the aroma. Taste is very nice for a porter, coffee tones, malt backbone. Somewhat thin and watery ending.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy dark brown color with some red around the edges. Off white head. Roasty brown sugar nose. Chocolate and coffee flavors. Pretty good porter.

Bomber - Poured a deep black color and big tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate and coffee. Flavor of sweet chocolate with a trong roasted malt quality. Very good beer.

A good porter, rich, somewhat sweet and tasty, but not something I’d drive to Richmond just to get. This was a typical porter, roasty, not too heavy and not too sweet.

Pours black with a perfect-size off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts and sweet chocolate. Very subtle, but delicious, flavor. Pretty sweet up front, with a roasted malt bitterness at the end. There’s a very light metallic aftertaste that gets in the way. Surprisingly good.

Draught. Dark with amber/ruby edges. Chocolate and roasted notes, not too sweet. A nice porter.

This did pour dark with ruby highlights, as the bottle said. There was something off with this brew. The taste and smells were typical for a porter, but.. The finish had some funky taste, that ruined the after taste.
