Aroma is moderately sweet, chococoffee, some molasses. Taste is medium sweet, coffee, chocolate, light cherry. Creamy medium body, low carbonation. (6/3/7/3/13)
(6/19/05, draft) Dark brown body with creamy tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, light molasses. Taste is medium sweet, come caramel, then the back half is coffee with some chocolate, earthy. A bit of mint in the finish. Light-medium body seemed light for the style. (5/3/6/2/11) meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA

This appeared a lighter black color with about a half-inch of tan head that sat there for a while. Plenty of lacing was left around the glass as I drank this. Aroma was of dark chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor was similar with a roasty chocolate taste being the strongest and a nice coffee flavor as well. A good amount of bittering to it and it has a nice dry roasted lingering after taste. Mouthfeel was creamy with about a medium body. Drinkability was pretty good as I had about 4 of these. Overall a good example of the style and the best beer they had when I was there in my opinion. JFGrind (1354), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA

Fruit aroma, chocolate malts and some floaties in the bottom of the glass. Flavors were off, bitterness and chocolate malts were not well blended. I thought it was an okay porter, my girlfriend thought it was nasty. Gachupines (295), USA

Could use a little more flavor, but it was very drinkable for its style. Taste had some coffee or chocolate notes but not as strong as their expresso stout. hurleymanvw (101), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Aroma sweet and bready, like honey drizzled over pumpernikel. Flavor is pleasantly bready with a bit of a hop kick as well. Slight milk chocolate finish. Quite good really. Richbrau seems to be getting their groove on these days, I’ll have to visit the brewpub again.
