Commercial Description:
This American Brown Ale is defined by its hoppiness and tasty roasted malt character. Served filtered. A wonderful seasonal brew for chilly weather. Alcohol: 5.7 abv

Draft at Richbrau. Clear copper. Nose, like the previous beer, seems off. Nutty caramel with a "twang". Two "bad" ones? Taste is starting to get ’twangy". Some fruit, earthy hops, malt and nuts. Light bodied with soft carbonation. The finish is not as bad. The "off-ness" seems gone (maybe this was only bad lines?). More fruit, soft malts, nutty flavors and earthy hops.

Draft at brewpub as part of the 6th Richmond Gathering. Medium amber, slight head. Very faintly malt accented aroma, perhaps caramel, hard to tell. Flavor was unfortunately a match, virtually non-existant. Touch of twang, this is probably going off. Not sure why they are still trying to serve this one.

Draft at brewpub. Part of a sampler. Copper color with low lacing. Aroma very weak, but what I could get was a bitter caramel. Taste was grainy and a bit tart (infected?) with brown sugar and toffee notes. Medium body, good carb.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear ruby brown body with a small off-white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Sweet grainy malt flavor with some nuttiness. Medium carbonation with a fairly smooth but grainy finish.
