Mar 15, 2009 22 ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a dark hazy brown with a large head, Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of slightly acrid roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is light roasted malts, chocolate and light coffee. Medium bodied and very smooth.

Jan 31, 2009 Bomber from the brewpub. Clear, very dark brown with a beige head. Lightly roasty and chocolaty nose, sweet malt. Mild bittersweet chocolate flavors, toffee, lightly roasty malt. Pretty damn tasty. More like a Schwarzbier to me.

Jan 19, 2009 Pint at the brewery. Sweet malty aroma. Clear dark brown with ruby highlights. Slightly oaky and winey with sweet molasses notes. Medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Sweet finish that dries quickly.
