Commercial Description:
Aroma of clove and banana common to Hefeweizen Yeast fermented beers along with some caramel and bready/toast aromas combine with the sweet wheat flavor to give this dark wheat beer an overall mildness in character and session-worthy drinkibility.

Sweet dark wheat aroma. Foggy medium brown. Sour, a little astringent and generally homebrewy, some floral fruitiness. Good CO2. Enough wheat mustiness to keep things interesting.

Slightly cloudy amber apperance, OK head. Aroma was stock banana and clove. Flavor matched with medium bodied wheat notes. Struck me much more as a hefe than a dunkel, other than the appearance. But nice overall with good phenols. Perhaps because I’m more of a wheat fan than most.

Shockoe festival Richmond VA-Draft: Dirty banana aroma. Light brown, cloudy, thin head. Clove and ginger taste. Quite bland.

Cloudy brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet banana and light caramel aroma. Sweet banana flavor - almost a bit too much - with caramel and light spice. This would be great with a bit more dark malt to back it up, a bit too close to a straight hefeweizen as it is.
