Bomber courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Deep brown beer, thick tan head. Aroma is a little bit cocoaish, lightly earthy and a bit toasty. Flavour is lightly roasty and earthy. A touch of cocoa and lingering toast. Decent stout.

Poured a clear very dark brown with a medium sized creamy beige head. The aroma was of chocolate, ash, cola, and a moderate sweetness. The flavor was tart with notes of dry chocolate. The finish was bitter and watery.

Draft at Richbrau. Dark brown to near balck pour on this. Small dense tan head. Soft roasty malts, light coffee, and some cocoa in the aroma. Taste is roasted malt, soft, sweet dark chocolate, cocoa and bitter coffee. Body is soft, creamy and smooth. Slight lingering bitterness. Ends with more roasted malts, cocoa and some cocoa. Rather tasty!

Sample at the Texas Beer & Brats tasting 10/11/2009. Pours a very dark brown color with hints of red around the edges. Medium thick tan head that diminishes slowly. Thick rings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt and dark chocolate aroma. Medium, smooth body with flavors of dark malt, roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty with notes of malt and coffee left behind. Decent low-ABV Dry Stout overall.

Bottle shared by JoeMcPhee - dark brown, fizzy, cola-looking beer - aroma of vanilla and cocoa, with some odd notes of boiled vegetables underneath - thin and watery flavor, with some bitter coffee and cocoa notes, and some leafy tobacco character - dry and a little bit tart in the finish - reminds me of weak coffee in a lot of ways - thin, bland, uninteresting.

Total score reflects combination of both scores below. Updated on 06/17/2008. On cask at the brewpub, mistakenly referred to as a summertime chocolate stout by the waitstaff, but the brewer informed me of the correct brew. Clear dark cherry black body with a medium creamy tan head. Dry chocolate aroma with hints of anise. More light anise and a dry chocolate finish. Medium light body with moderately low carbonation. Score: 6/4/6/3/11 - 3.0 Original rating from 05/24/2006: Dark black color with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of caramel and butterscotch. Light bitter coffee flavor with a creamy butterscotch end. Original score: 7/5/7/3/15 - 3.7

Served on cask at the brewery. red color with a medium head. Pleasant nutty, chocolate aroma. Slightly bitter. Taste is veru much the same but with a more assertive hop bitterness in the finish.
