JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Aug 17, 2009 Bottle at my refrigerator reduction tasting on 8/15/09. Bottle has a plain paper label that is less impressive than most homebrew labels I’ve seen. Starting to get worried. Pours cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Orangy hops aroma with some malt. Very orangy hop flavor (Centennial? Amarillo?) with a bit of sweet malt balance and a lasting bitter finish. Guess I won’t be judging a book by its cover again. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA May 20, 2009 22oz bottle courtesy of Kevin. Pours a hazy amber with a decent sized white head. Some nice lacing. Very citrusy nose yet there is some hop earthiness as well. I am guessing Simcoe and Cascade in this one. Up front a spicy resiny bitterness with some strong grapefruit and orange peel. Finishes bitter and earthy. Very very good IPA. beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA Apr 17, 2009 Pours golden amber with about an inch of head. Decent amount of hops in there as well. You can tell this is an east coast IPA. No floral aroma or much to speak thereof. Laces the glass nicely though. Medium bodied. More of an upfront bitter taste. What I hear from Maniac given the price of this stuff it’s not too bad. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Dec 30, 2008 Growler filled by maniac. Clear orange amber with large big bubble offwhite head and decent lacing. Spicy floral hop aroma. Flavor is perfumy and floral citrus hops. Medium chewy body with moderately low carbontion, but that could easily be attributed to the growler. Bitter finish. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA Nov 29, 2008 Date: 11/2/2008 Source:Richbrau Brewery Keg from the brewery. Nice grassy citrus nose. Huge fluffy creamy head with long retention. Moderate grassy floral hops notes over pale and caramel malts to balance. Clean dry finish with moderate bitterness. Dead on for the style. Quite enjoyable. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Nov 16, 2008 Bomber courtesy of dkachur. Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of sage, oranges, dry malt, ginger. Tastes of pepper, spice, sweet pepper, resin, light bitterness. Excellent! dkachur (2315), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Apr 23, 2008 Bottle from the brewery. Pours bronze colored with a small head and good lacing and retemtion. Bitter and floral hop aroma. Taste is hops (woody) with a hint of honey sweetness. Somewhat vegetal.
