The best I tried at Richbrau ... This is more still and slightly darker than their Pale Ale. There's an outstanding hop tone within a well malted beer. Good show.

Bomber...really a double IPA, this is very similar to Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale in flavor, moderate hops with an herbal character, very rich and silky overall. Red and cloudy in appearance. I give this a very high rating.

2002’s, ’Richbrau Silverman IPA’: Rich and tingly start; fresh, hoppy-sweet aroma. Smooth & malty backbone complemented with a beautiful hop aroma and hoppy bitterness (nearly perfect balance between its sweet aroma and bitter finish). Malt was fruity with just a little sweetness, which I enjoyed. A little dry in the finish with some lingering flavors. A very good IPA in my own backyard; I was impressed... so much so that I brought a growler home with me.

Bottle at my refrigerator reduction tasting on 8/15/09. Bottle has a plain paper label that is less impressive than most homebrew labels I’ve seen. Starting to get worried. Pours cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Orangy hops aroma with some malt. Very orangy hop flavor (Centennial? Amarillo?) with a bit of sweet malt balance and a lasting bitter finish. Guess I won’t be judging a book by its cover again.

Bomber courtesy of dkachur. Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of sage, oranges, dry malt, ginger. Tastes of pepper, spice, sweet pepper, resin, light bitterness. Excellent!

070218-on tap-pours a thin creamy off white head and amber color. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is smooth citrus hops-some bitterness balanced with medium malt. OK carbonation.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with thin off white head. Prominent, delicious grapefruit hop nose and flavor. Bitter finish.

22oz bottle courtesy of Kevin. Pours a hazy amber with a decent sized white head. Some nice lacing. Very citrusy nose yet there is some hop earthiness as well. I am guessing Simcoe and Cascade in this one. Up front a spicy resiny bitterness with some strong grapefruit and orange peel. Finishes bitter and earthy. Very very good IPA.
