Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Sep 9, 2004 Updated: Jul 4, 2009Sweetish smell, faint hops. Medium gold, good lacing. Flavor is odd. Starts sweet, burst of floral hops, bit of anise, then a corny finish. Someone hopped my Coors. Rerate at VA Beer Festival on 7/3/09. Clear light gold, aroma of corn and a bit of butter. Flavor was muted, corn, light floral hops, hint of blackberry. Got more butter in the nose than the mouth. I usually don’t detect diacetyl very well, so this was odd. I should also note that no one else was picking up diacetyl, so in all likelihood something else was at work here that I was picking up on. Rating went up by .1.
