chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Jun 20, 2005 Dark brown with a reddish tinge. Very dark for a cider, which presumably comes from the oak barrels in which its aged. Not much in the way of funk or cheese. Instead, you get a bone dry, woody character with vinous, port-like edges. Lots of tannin, but a fair bit of fruit left too. Quite classy and well balanced. 2 litre flagon from the Richs farm shop.
