Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, smoke - meat - plastic, butter notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091031]

Jul 22, 2009 50cl bottle @ Brewery. Pours unclear orange with a small creamy bubbly white head and lacings. Butterscotch, fruit and orange. Taste is mellow , balanced and mild with smoke in the background. Very easy and enjoyable.

Mar 4, 2009 Bottle - Very beautiful golden body, fine sparkle, huge lasting creamy off white head; Very nice balanced deep nose, very fine smoke aroma; Fine soft body, very lightly acid; Long finish with a fine aroma and texture. Excellent smoked beer.

Feb 10, 2009 Bottle. Low white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy amber body.Strangely enough another bottle showed a body which was almost black. Mild caramel smoky roasted malt aroma and flavor. Low carbonation and a long smoky aftertaste.

Dec 29, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a one finger thick and white head. Meaty smoked aroma. Flavour is sweet with a nice smoked note following. Leading towards a meaty flavour of bacon. Light acidic touch. Subdued bitterness into the far finish.

Sep 29, 2008 Bottle@Home. Lactic aroma with hints of smoke coming though. Dark brown color, light beige head, good lace. Lactic, smokey, sour, sweet, light bitter. Bought in June at the brewery so you’d expect it to be still ok but it was very much infected.

Jul 16, 2008 bottled, thank you jeverszeuge. Mahogany colour, hazy, large beige head. Aroma of malt and smoke. Slightly sour flavour with a smokey background. Pleasantly malty and hoppy with a touch of chocolate and cocoa powder. I am not sure whether the sourness is meant to be like that - otherwise it would be a really nice Smoked.

Jul 10, 2008 Bottled. Mahogany colour, rich airy head. Evident beechwood smokiness. Medium bodied and medium sweet with mild, soft buttery malt. Lightly fruity and ashy. Low-medium smoke intensity. Good without being fantastic.
