Faintly sweet, grainy malt aroma, lightly honeyish and fruity, with notes of citrus, pear and apple, overall effect is pretty slight, however. Clear medium golden color with a lasting, fine, white head. Flavor is predominantly fruity and very lightly bitter, with a touch of pineapple, grapefruit and doughy, lightly bready malts, and finishing with a touch of cedar, and a light dose of hop bitterness, earthiness and spiciness. Smooth and low in effervescence on the palate, almost juice-like in consistency, with a medium body. Just very mild character, drinks not at all like the hefty Winter Ale one might expect. Good aroma and taste of hops. Very smooth. Golden in color. What I look for in a beer. Great brew. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Flavor is like a winter IPA: hoppy and spicy, fruit and pine with a touch of honey and citrus zest. Enjoyable. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

The aroma was barely hoppy and barely malty. The flavor was OK, a little weak in the hops and had a nice bitter aftertaste. Overall, an average beer. wassonc (1), Eugene, Oregon, USA does not count | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 10, 2009 500 mL Bottle-World Market Columbus, OH
Very watery beer, tastes alright, but kind of weak. Good for one beer, but I would leave it at just one and try something else after I’m finished. Poured dark yellow with thin off white/white head. Smooth, nonbothersome aftertaste and decent amount of carbonation. Decent but you could do better.
