500 ml bottle. Finland. Dark reddish brown with fluffy creamy head. Strange arome for a stout. Milky, licoricey and smoky but quite mild. Flavour is roasted smoky malts, coffee with some sourness.

Bottle pours black with a decent head. The aroma is quite like chocolate cake. The flavor is much the same, with some minor lingering hops to keep things balanced. There is a bit of a lactic thing going on. The palate is not very substantial and almost has a chalky nuance. Overall, not overly bad, but not very good.

Black color with a medium head. Aroma of chocolate malt, light roasted malt and some oak. Taste is much milder than the aroma. Light roasted malt. A little oxidized like many English-style stouts. A bit watery.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish brown colour, decent-sized, rather creamy light beige head. Roasted, a little smoky malty aroma, with coffee and some dark fruits. Roasted malts, cofee and lactose in the flavour. Ashy, bitter finish. A little thin on the palate, smoothly carbonated.

Obviously a brown stout. Dark chestnut color with a pseudo creamy head. Mild aromas with roasted malt, mild smoke and some sourdough bread and lactose. Quite light and airy in feel. Too much so for my type of stout. The longer this sets in the glass the more I get some funky scents of aged cheese and yogurt. Down with the aroma from a 7 to a 5 with the scent now seeming very unclean. Light cocoa and freeze dried coffee flavors. Thin and uneventful. I really want to like this beer because of the name. Perhaps it really is bad. I do not find this ruthless as the bottle suggests. Yes there do seem to be some black malt and ashes on my tongue in the linger. I am just finding it to be annoying verses ruthless.

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Off-white head quickly recedes to skim surface. Dark smoky caramel aromas. Thin yet tingly. Dry, bitter cocoa finish.
