Bottle at Stockholm beer festival. Strange foam with big bubles. Aroma with chocolates and burnt malts. Harsh black malts in the taste and litle sweetness. Some bitterness but not balanced.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese Place in(near) St. Louis, MO. Near opaque black color with a huge frothy tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, coffee and light chocolate. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Starts with toasted, very, very lightly smoked, malt, and some coffee bitter with a touch of milk chocolate sweetness. Finishes rather bitter, though perhaps a little watery. Drinks very well. However, it is a bit disjointed. Good, but it’s not all working together.

Bottle. Pours a real black colour with a thin brown head. A good roasted aroma with coffee and grassy flavours. A bitter touch in the flavor that gives it a good taste.

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black. The aroma is quite doughy with notes of sour berries. Undertones of blackberries, liquorice, dark chocolate, tar and coffee. The flavour is of mild salt liquorice, some coffee roast, bitter hops, tar and dark berries. The mouthfeel is soft and round. Light sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied.
