Commercial Description:
If Maris Otter malt is the body of our beer then hops are its spirit. Each year we choose our hops not just by farm but by individual garden and time of harvest. One older variety, Challenger, and one new,Boadicea, used as unprocessed whole leaf hops. Extravagant, perhaps, but delicious.

500 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, carmel and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, light carmel and some light fruitiness with a crisp lightly bitter finish. A very refreshing beer!

Aroma of floral hop. Golden color. The head quickly filmed. Medium bodied, with gentle, fine carbonation. Starts with malt, always accompanied by floral hop. Arguably a little citrus. The finish is bitterly delicious with enough malt to balance. It is just marvelous. Seems very underrated.

Frothy white head and cloudy, rich copper colour. Notes of apricot, oranges, and spices aroma which match the aroma. Farily lite and balanced, with a mild bitter finish.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. Fluffy off-white conglomerate head leaves seafoam lacing. Smooth and crisp with front to back caramel and a lasting hop finish.

(Cask) Pours a cloudy light brown color with almost no head. Light hops in the aroma. Taste is interesting, with a unique mix of hops and tannin notes. Earthy finish. Good to try.

Creamy head. Pale golden color. I[’ve had better British bitters. Likeable enough.

Kinda bland for my taste. A good session beer though. It’s ok. I probably won’t get this one again.

(draught at Max’s in Baltimore) Amber with very little head. Aroma is malt and bread. Flavor is on the malty/sweet side with some hops. Decent bitter.
