Commercial Description:
"It turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, of course - wrong place at the wrong time...but Claus was soon back on the street with the polite apologies of the authorities - no questions asked. All's well that ends well, surely, but still, the reporters wanted to know...it takes its toll, doesnt't it? "Indeed" sighed Claus, "my elf is going crazy, and I fear I shall soon go crazy as well" And with that he hoisted a great flagon of his favorite barleywine-style ale, silently contemplating the future and straining to remember why he got into this particular line of work in the first place.

Smells great - huge whiff of banana and bubblegum as soon as you crack open the bottle, and a touch of pine when you pour it. Flavor, though, is a bit boozy. And by "a bit boozy", I mean "very, very boozy". As it warms, it drys out a bit, and becomes more drinkable.

It poured a clear pale golden liquid with a small white foam. Sweet smell of caramell with an alcoholic finish. It had a smooth mouthfeel and tasted of caramell with an alcoholic finish.

Nice taste, barley-wine flavored explosion in a bottle. It has a 11.5% AC and is worth every penny.

Bottle, dark amber body with a tan head. Very sweet and malty with a etoh latent fruit, a bit soapy apple off flavors giving way to caramel malt and a big warm finish. Eh.

Deep amber, beige head. No alcohol in nose, sort of syrupy aroma. Warming flavor, not burning but you definitely feel the ABV. Flavor is a little ashy. Could use a bit stronger ans sweeter malt body. Slightly bitter in the finish. Buttery feel.
