Fin (2179), Merton, Oxfordshire, England May 9, 2008 Bottle from Londis Westholme stores, Goring on Thames, Oxon 03-05-08 consumed on 07-05-08 A decent bittersweet IPA, tangy fruity spicy and hoppy. This was surprisngly punchier and bigger than a 5.5% IPA would normally be. Some grapefruit with caster sugar but minus the little cherry, sweet malts, very nice beer.
jgb9348 (1821), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Aug 19, 2008 Nice slightly hazy golden coloured body with a crisp orange glow and a perfect sized dense tan head - very nice! Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, oranges, pine, malt and a touch of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong hops up front (dry hopped) with a light malt backbone, yeast and citrus strong at first. Aftertaste has a lot of hops, some malt character and a mild yeastiness. Overall, a decent IPA - looks and smells better than it tastes, but all-in-all, not a bad beer! I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased on 12-July-2008 from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York, sampled on 19-August-2008. Lord_Corkscrew (545), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy Jul 16, 2008 Cazzo è fenomenale!! Fantastica IPA dall’aroma avvolgente sapore deciso e lo sapete che a Ostia avevano fatto un teatro ma poi l’hanno usato per venderci il grano? Grandissima birra. Chipper (53), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 15, 2008 A nice amber color with a medium off white head. A little fruit and hops on the nose and a slight hop bite. A little thin for an IPA, which the bottle says, but for an ESB it’s pretty good. A good beer for a tailgate. TET (126), Finland Jun 27, 2008 Slightly cloydy, beautiful orange beer with thin white head. Malts, some sweetness and some aromatic hops are found in the aroma. Flavour is typically malty and aromatic hops is almost gone and only hints of aromas is left. Flavour is quite strongly bitter at the start in to quite long end. Nice to drink and body is strong enough. I hope more for hops but anyway, Ridgeway IPA is balanced bitter. smith4498 (339), Miami, Florida, USA May 20, 2008 Pours clear orange with white head. Yeast aroma is more predominant than the hops. There is also some scent of bread. The flavor is mild, definately not an American IPA. Mild hops with some spice and malt flavors. Medium body with mild carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. A decent beer, but not what I would expect when the labes says IPA.
