Pours a thin beige head of poor duration, but with attractive lacing, over a clear, brown (SRM 25) body.....nose is heavy coffee, light chocolate, bit of caramel....taste is sweet caramel to start then drier chocolate malt, with some coffee, finishing with light bitterness........mouth feel is medium, carbonation adds a creamy touch. This is a nice Foreign Stout, bit of sweetness, with roasted malt textures, perhaps better than Lion. Need to do a side by side tasting. ljay6880 (148), , Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was a cola brown with a half inch of light tan head; there is a decent amount of lacing left on the glass as well. Nose is light roasted malt, light coffee, and notes of something sweet. Taste is the same, with a bit of bitterness throughout. About the same as Guinness, but it is a little sweeter and bit more bitter. Not bad, but nothing to write home about either. Dark brown colour with tiny tan head.
Liquorice and some chocolate in aroma.
Flavour is liquorice big time. Some dryish ashyness and notes of sugar.
Very drinkable for 8% brew for my rating #900. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
