Commercial Description:
New for 2009, Reindeer Droppings comes to us from our the much-beloved Ridgeway Brewery.
Falling from the sky like little bombs of flavour come the Reindeer Droppings! Each one is sweet like California raisins, but bitter and pungent like a freshly peeled grapefruit, lip-smackingly tasty...then ’pow!’ it’s gone.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Copper colour with mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops with quite some grassyness as well. Flavour is bitter wood, fruits, some mild soap as well as some yeast and grass.Rather pleasantly balanced. Refreshing and nice session beer. Not too much Xmaslike notes in it.

Bottle from Tbone. Orange color. Peach and some grassy hops in the aroma. Peach, melon, grapefruit and earthy hops in the flavor. Fruit and hops lingers on in the aftertaste. Maybe a touch of perfume. Not bad.

Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg. On December 13, 2009
Hazy golden color, white head. Fresh fruity hoppy scent, also sugary sweet with some cheeze. Bitter, hoppy, smooth taste, dominatingly bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, very high bitterness.

Had this on bottle a few weeks ago at Haket (also Göteborg), without taking notes. Remember the bottle as less bitter, more fruity and hoppy, even more fresh, like a summer beer.

500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
Rich orange, doughy head. Fruity, caramelly, and white-pepper aroma. Crisp carbonation, fairly simple malty body give caramelly retronasals, but there’s also some fairly pungent noble hopping in there too. Almost a little soapy in places. Finish very bitter, but leaves plenty of caramel in the mouth too, and even some bubblegum. The sweetness balances the bitterness well. Very solid brew, should be a bitter, not a golden/blond ale - or at least a pale ale. Anna found it a little too bitter, but she’s a poof. I wouldn’t session this, or even rush it, but fortunately it’s tasty enough to enjoy drinking slowly.

Cask at Green Lion, Malmö. A hazy dark golden beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of fruit - of them some citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops lending it notes of peaches, grass, and other fruits, leading to a dry bitter finish where the hop note lingers.
