Commercial Description:
New for 2009, Reindeer Droppings comes to us from our the much-beloved Ridgeway Brewery.
Falling from the sky like little bombs of flavour come the Reindeer Droppings! Each one is sweet like California raisins, but bitter and pungent like a freshly peeled grapefruit, lip-smackingly tasty...then ’pow!’ it’s gone.

(Bottled) Clear copper with a smallish, firm head. Lime-citrusy, aromatic nose with a touch of spices and nutty maltiness. Flavor of grapefruit-citrusy, fresh, but slightly harsh hops, and some peat and ashes in the malt profile. Quite light, but not watery, body with medium carbonation. A reasonably fresh brew, but certainly not a winter warmer - or a match for Bad Elf 4.5%.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Pours dark hazy golden with a good, medium, cremy, off-white head. Nice duration. Lovely sweet, resiny hoppy aroma. Grapefruit on top of sweetish crisp malts. Medium carbonation, fine and lightly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly fruity bitter, some pine, light caramel and sweet malts. Fine finish with good bitterness. Very refreshing - not especially Christmas-y, though.

Golden-orange beer with big white head. Some aromatic hops, fruits and sweet malts is found from the aroma. Taste is unfortunately simpler than aroma, slighty stuffy, bready malts and drying bitterness in the end. Quite light to drink, but still nice and pleasant. Aroma was promising but taste regressed to almost basic bitter level, but still some lightness and aromatic nuancees turns this beer to "worht to try" -gategory.

Bottled at Old Bricks Inn, Jyväskylä. Copper color. The aromas of fruity, citrusy and sweaty hops. More sweaty hops in the flavor with fruity bitterness, lemon and biscuity maltiness. The hop aroma and flavor is firm but not very fresh.

500 ml bottle. Clear yellowish orange colour, foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, pineapple, spices and floral hops. The flavour is fruity and has a nice, long dry hoppy finish. Very refreshing, but not really a Christmas beer like I thought it was supposed to be.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Copper colour with mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops with quite some grassyness as well. Flavour is bitter wood, fruits, some mild soap as well as some yeast and grass.Rather pleasantly balanced. Refreshing and nice session beer. Not too much Xmaslike notes in it.

Bottled (BB 04/2011)
Pale amber color, small white head, some lace. Some lime and carambola fruityness in the nose. Grapefruity, piney hoppy flavor, some fruity yeasty notes. Finishing bitter. Light to average palate. Plesant flavor but could be more lively, now a bit dead.
