Sep 8, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel - the aroma is too light for my liking. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Oct 23, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Lightly sweet aroma of caramel and nuts. Full-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and plenty of fruit and caramel. No real bitterness but quite some alcohol showing. 210908

Nov 20, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours golden and clear orange with a diminished off-white head. Slight ashtray and slight fruity aroma. Soft maltbase and a hoppyness that gives a slight soapy flavour and feel in the finish. Quite fruity. Ends with a nice malt sweetness and mild bitterness.

Sep 29, 2008 Bottled@SBWF2008. Amber colour, rich off-white head. Aroma is lots of caramel malts, some mild hops as well as dry dark fruits. Flavour is quite much the same. A very sweet malty brew for being a Ridgeway product. Suits the Christmas season well!

Light amber color; generous head. Strange aroma, mild, creamy but also meaty; earthy. Caramel and toffee flavor, with a reasonable body; there is a light but pleasant earthy, manure touch. Strong bitterness. Indeed interesting, as bottled English ale.
