Incredibly malty from the five different grains in this beer as indicated in the beer’s name. Impressive! Very soft and sweetish from the loads of malt with a very discreet bitterness. Massive sediment - not typical for Germany. And this beers keeps surprising: it’s both organic and top-fermented. Excellent. 030305 YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2004 Light pleasant nose. Cloudy near opaque orange color with a tall creamy frothy head. Think creamy malt that is complex - fruity and grainy. Some apple, and citrus at the end. Rough, like a good homebrew, but that’s what’s good about this. MartinKubert (862), Copenhagen, Denmark

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread, citrus, and oranges. The flavor is just sweet malty with notes of roasted bread. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark

Orange-amber color, nice creamy head, extrem cloudy. Aroma is slighty sourish (lemon), somewhat grainy and a kind of spicy. Flavor is malty and grainy, first quite sweet but than drier with a light bitter aftertaste. JorisPPattyn (5181), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 3, 2004 Fully hazy foxy colour; cream-coloured, serious, dense head, dissipating. Chalk, coffee cream in the nose, but also slightly sourish, wheat-like. Taste of All-Bran,wholewheat flakes, with caramel coating. For bio-nuts without weight-problems. "Earthy taste", they say. Must be a lot of sugar spilled on that Altmühltal soil. Light to medium body, but thin palate, mineral water-like. Again nuts in the aftertaste - or is it just oxidation? Duh. Nothing very exceptional. Maybe very rustic - but I doubt it. I prefer the Einkorn - by far.
