4/25/2009: Right Brain C.E.O. Stout has a great espresso aroma, but the flavor doesn’t deliver. It tastes like watery coffee with a nice, dry chocolate finish. Unfortunately there isn’t much else to say about this beer either...

Sample from growler at Dark Lord Day 2009. Rating #5 for this beer.

Someone poured this for me at DLD. Thanks!! Almost a black pour. Tan head. Lots of nicely roasted coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Also a good trace of roast. Flavor is smooth(oats), and a bit dry. The coffee is delicious and the chocolate notes are dark and dry. Good beer.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer08. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate & coffee and vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture. Medium to heavy roasted chocolate flavor with medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer.

2008 MiBGF: Black with a very good head and lace. WOW, big time coffee nose along with chocolate, walnut, charred malt, and slightly grassy hops. The taste is more espresso overtones topped by bittersweet mocha creme, bitter finish. The mouth feel is disappointing, thin and watery. A solid beer than needs more oats to improve feel.
