The aroma has notes of prune, anise, molasses, toast and charred malts, hint of bakers chocolate, herbal and resiny hops and a dash of espresso. The taste starts with an aggressive bitterness from both hops and coffee before opening towards a twangy fruit center. The finish is smoky and earthy with a chocolate note throughout. The mouth feel is sharp and aggressive at first but does smooth out. Quite refreshing and a tad dangerous. Very nice and one the hits of the fest. tjthresh (1779), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Poured a black color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good complex roasted flavor with a heavy roasted bittersweet finish of long duration.
Good complex standout brew.
