Apr 15, 2008 bottle. pours amber with a thin head. smells like chemicals, sour and acrid. taste is similar to the smell only better with a nutty character. has a chalky feel in the mouth. I just can’t get past that smell. every time I put the glass to my lips I inhale a lung full of awful. poured out 3/4 of it.

Apr 12, 2008 Extra Special Brew? I don’t really see anything special about this. Slightly better than the Export Ale... I guess. Amber colored with a decent head and lace. Nice appearance. Strong malty flavor with a spiced nutty taste. It’s actually got kind of a foul smell and taste - too much. It has a slight bitter finish, which actually makes it better

Apr 5, 2008 22oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a clear amber with a small off white head. Nose was pretty fruity, the finish had good balance between malt and hops.

Mar 30, 2008 Orange-bronze with flush head. Dank Britt hop aroma with some mildewiness. Tad of cardboard and a hint of malt. Tasteful medley of Britt hios with mild malting, some fruitiness, and a touch of caramel.
