Brown bottle with a twist off cap. A little orangy colored when compared to a pale yellow american lager. Strong sweet alky aroma, its a warnoing. Taste follow aroma , rather strongish with lots of what seems to be alky taste hints. Medium low carbonation. Very difficult to enjoy at times. Needs a few more manners. Strongish near whiskey attitude. Must be more than 6% alky. Odd bitter aftertawste follows each sip. Overall, comes across a little rude. Same personality as many strong ales. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Jana took me out to the winking lizard after work Friday night for a few beers. Nose of dried fruit, citrus, and flowers. The brew pours a clear golden orange. The mostly diminishing pure white creamy head leaves good lace. The brew would make a perfect session offering as the balance is very good and the acidity level is light, the finish is mild. The medium body is soft & creamy. The finish feels dry. Thanks again to Jana for the good company. mrant (330), New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Smells of weak sweet malts. Pours a crystal clear light amber color with a small white head. Taste is interesting and complex. Very string sticky sweet malts taste with hoppy bitterness near the end. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. PhillyBeer2112 (2087), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2007 I suppose this is a standard ringwood yeast, but I’m not so sensitive to the diacertyl. This is definitely a malt forward beer, caramelized with a vague cereal graininess, and a background of sweet butterscotch. Hop aromas are minimally herbal, not much hop flavoring, leading to an essentially balanced finish. Copper color, smallish head. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2007 First of all, I have to say that I’m a sucker for a beer that has a badass looking boar staring at me on the label... so that’s what made me pick this one up. It also earned it a bonus point in the appearance category.
That being said... it pours a nice copper with very white head. A smooth drink with a bit of a bitter aftertaste in which the hoppy flavor comes out, but does not over power or annoy.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 13, 2007 Poured an attractive amber/copper color with a tremendous frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, smells somewhat of pears. Taste is similar, it is fruity and also of berries. Mouthfeel is pleasant as is the amount of carbonation. Drinkability is pretty good. This 22 oz bomber wont be around long. Decent effort from Ringwood Brewery.
