| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Bottle. Berry/apple malt and light pepper hops aroma. Clear amber color with moderate head and very nice lacing. Smooth apple and raspberry malt flavor with moderate hops finish. Has a nice mouthfeel - llike a handpumped ale that is usually absent from US ales. Good stuff. halfonit (467), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

I wasn’t sure what to expect with a beer whose name reminded me of a cartoon character from Bambi. But has a nice little hoppy flavor with a good after taste. Recommended. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Poured from bottle. Way past due date, oh well. Aroma of hops, caramel, bread which greets you nicely as you drink. Semi clear amber, nice look. Caramel and cake in the flavor, along with the hops. Kinda a hybrid between a belgian and an IPA. Finished quite nicely. I’m quite pleased with this brew. This would make a great everyday beer. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2007 Poured to a light copper color with medium off-white head that lingered thru mid-glass and left okay lacing. Not really much here in either the aroma or the flavor, as I was having trouble picking out anything in particular. Mouthfeel was bland, and the finish never was the bitterness I would expect from an ESB. Not a bad drinking beer, just a dissappointing ESB. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA

Nose of malts, nuts, hops. Mouthfeel medium and flavors contain some fruits. Finish medium and has some spiciness. Decent brew. beerinmarch (2810), Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Balanced nose of english herbal hops and fruity biscuit malts. Slight butterum sweetness to the nose. Very balanced brew with a lightly crisp finish. Pours light amber with a off-white head that leaves a sheet of lacing behind. Nice ESB with a good malt bite to it. Finish gets a bit minerally, gives that clinching feeling to the jaw.
