Poured a hazy amber with a foamy, slightly fluffy off-white head that settled into a thin lacing, ringed sticking.
Aromas of sweet earthy malts a little butteriness, an airy fruitiness, and a soft citric hoppiness.
Moderate carbonation and a crisp, smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel.
Pleasant tasting, toasted grain and caramel malts, a nice fruity yeastiness, a soft lemony, citric hoppiness and a dry grainy, earthy and fruity finish.
A nice ESB from Shipyard, easy drinkability, nicely quaffable.

Pours amber-orange with an average size lasting off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt is a little sugary sweet along and with some corn, grain and some mild hops. Mild, somewhat sweet flavour of caramel malt, fruit and a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. I found this a little sweet for the style but it was still decent. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Malty sweet nose, hints of caramel and fruit - grainy/earthy hops too. Decent taste - light body yet very sweet malt, caramel, and some nice sweet earthy hops to round this off. Nice short fruity linger. A nice ESB simple and drinkable. Beer number 1 of Man U Celtic (great performance Hoops, you did your fans proud). GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Warm, sweet aroma with sharp herbal notes. Very tasty - sweet caramel and brown sugar, hints of orange and wood, and a well bittered finish. A nice surprise - thanks, Harry! chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Butterscotch or some sort of sweetness and some soft of leaf. This style always seems bland and ashy. Very surprised by how high this group rating is. bigrond (1048), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA

It smells like a bud but pours with a nicecopper hue. taste is weak as well as the palate. I will never buy this again. Ringwood - please don’t cross the pond anymore. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Deep, oily-looking amber with an average off-white diminishing head. Caramel sweet malt, very candyish, some herbal hops to bitter it down. Taste is nutty, oily, sweet malt, enough herbal hops to tone it down - very pleasant. Thick, oily, rich mouthfeel, light carbonation, sweet finish - I quite enjoyed this one.
