Jul 30, 2006 Aroma has malt, hops and fruit, copper, a small firm custard head with lace. Taste is a firey hops, firm malt, and a pleasing woody aftertaste. Light bodied, very well balanced, hoppy, easy drinking, a very nice session ale. Really good example!

Jul 26, 2006 12 oz bottle. Amber beer, thin white head. Light caramel wiht a heavy dose of cherry fruitiness in the nose. Sweet UK-types of molts. Flavour is good, sweet combination of malts and cherry esters. A bit of lingering herbal bitterness. Decent enough, if a bit simple. Somewhat too sweet.

Jul 13, 2006 Bottle - Pours a lovely amber with creamy, thick head. Very soft hops aroma but a bit of citrus is there. Smooth as silk mouthfeel with flavors of sweet butterscotch and vanilla followed by a nice crispness at the finish. Nice example of an ESB from the states.

Jul 12, 2006 Aroma is very syrupy with a bit of a sour cherry-like fruitiness in the background. Flavor is OK, but could be a little stronger and more developed in my opinion. There is a caramel malt sweetness that provides a nice backbone and then gives way to a hops dominated bitterness that is pleasant and not quite as biting as some of the more outrageous ESB’s out there. It almost slides into that grapefruit/pine hopping of an IPA.

Jul 10, 2006 A very good ESB. Also reminesent of Shipyard Export Ale (Shipyard brews this beer in the US) in my opinion. Caramel tasting and a bit earthy. Hopped well.

Jul 7, 2006 Deep good with a small head. Sweet, mild caramel malt aromas. Honey and apple flavors balance out the floral hops. Distinct fruity flavors with a good dose of mild caramel malts and yeast. Clean, dry finish. Pretty good.

Jun 14, 2006 Pours a nice amber with a thick head. Very weak aroma, and very weak tasting as well. Bit of a piney aftertaste. Not bad, just seems a bit weak overall.

Jun 11, 2006 Bottle... Clear, light amber ale with orange highlights. Small, creamy, almost white head. Everlasting retention. Delicate aroma of caramel and the buttery esters provided by the ringwood yeast. Perfectly balanced flavor. Sweet, caramel malt and more-than-slightly bitter earthy hops. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Finishes buttery, caramely and faintly dry.
