Aroma is very syrupy with a bit of a sour cherry-like fruitiness in the background. Flavor is OK, but could be a little stronger and more developed in my opinion. There is a caramel malt sweetness that provides a nice backbone and then gives way to a hops dominated bitterness that is pleasant and not quite as biting as some of the more outrageous ESB’s out there. It almost slides into that grapefruit/pine hopping of an IPA.

A very good ESB. Also reminesent of Shipyard Export Ale (Shipyard brews this beer in the US) in my opinion. Caramel tasting and a bit earthy. Hopped well.

Deep good with a small head. Sweet, mild caramel malt aromas. Honey and apple flavors balance out the floral hops. Distinct fruity flavors with a good dose of mild caramel malts and yeast. Clean, dry finish. Pretty good.

Pours a nice amber with a thick head. Very weak aroma, and very weak tasting as well. Bit of a piney aftertaste. Not bad, just seems a bit weak overall.

Bottle... Clear, light amber ale with orange highlights. Small, creamy, almost white head. Everlasting retention. Delicate aroma of caramel and the buttery esters provided by the ringwood yeast. Perfectly balanced flavor. Sweet, caramel malt and more-than-slightly bitter earthy hops. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and pillow-soft carbonation. Finishes buttery, caramely and faintly dry.

Nice bitters pour. Dark yellow with a big, highly-retentive white head, like a highly alcholic Belgian. Smells of lager yeast and mild hops. Kind of nice, but too weak to really matter. Tastes pretty much like it smells, only a little more firm. Like a good euro pils, slightly pasturized lager grain with fruit esters, ending on a nice, light hop. Pretty good.

Robe blonde aux reflets orangés surmontée d’une mousse qui s’Estompe. Arômes légers de diacétyl. Saveurs de caramel, de diacétyl, de houblon amérisant et de levure.
