Aromas are a little boring: Perhaps me having my head stuck in a gallon of paint for the last 4 hrs is affecting my senses, but I can’t smell anything other then malt...Nutty and grass flavours, light to medium body, some citrus in the finish.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2006 Bottle from Half Time. This was a pleasant surprise from Shipyard given the other sampler brews. It had an apple-caramel type aroma and flavor but with a bit of a bitter kick which destroys the potential of this above average but potentially awesome brew. chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA

My wife brought me back a couple beers to sample from The Shipyard. Mmmm...bitter. Has a pleasant English bitter aroma. Nice buttery malt taste with an accented hop bitterness with a touch of sweet honey. A real delicious beer. Wish I had more than one bottle to try. Beerdedone (1888), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 19/20 | Apr 21, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours copperish with a small beige head, aroma of caramel malts and citrusy fruits, flavor is good, sweet and malty but it disappears fast and turns into a watery thin finish, this beer is smooth, but its body is a little lack luster

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2006 Bottle. Golden amber, small creamy off white head. Toasty malt aroma, yeasty character, light grassy-chlorophyll notes. Flavour has a moderate bitterness to it, and a tangy toasty malt bite. Bit of a yeasty character underneath, light caramel malt and toffee. Lingering bitter finish. Smooth but average palate. Decent but not entirely satisfying.
