Light but creamy in the mouth. The malt flavors turn more to the toffee and butterscotch with the hops returning for an earthy bitter finish. Good session stuff.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 25, 2005 Pours a clear deep bronze copper with a half-inch off-white head. Aroma has some earthy caramel and light butterscotch with a touch of English hops. Body starts with a bittersweet, dry, maltiness revealing some diacetyl before a lightly sticky, bitter finish. An ok bitter that would probably be better were it really brewed in the UK. MrRain (429), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2005 12 oz bottle poured in an English pint glass. It pours a nice rusty pumpkin orange with a small but persistant head. It has a sour, granny smith apple aroma - suprising. Appropriately it has a dry and slightly bitter taste. There’s a bit of sourness in there (an old bottle? It’s dated 7/05) A hint of butterscotch or maybe carmel in the finish. A nice drinkable beer that is probably excellent on tap. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2005 Solid amber color with a large off white head. Very sweet caramel malts in the aroma. The taste is much the same being exceptionally sugary and sweet. Very smooth, not too bad, just too damn sweet, dont be afraid to add some hops to it. Smoke3Smokes (72), Boone, North Carolina, USA
