| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 13, 2009 Poured a clear brown amber color with medium froathy offwhite head. Aroma is caramel malts with slight citric notes. Flavor is pretty sweet and watery with slight citric hop up from but nothing on the finish. A little dissapointing. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Pretty nice, full and round body of bitterness. Little bit of a bland/pukey aftertaste from the malts, not that pleasant, but overall it was solid and nice to drink. ROGUE (700), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a reddish amber color with a medium tan colored head that laces the glass nicely. Smells of sweet roasted malts, sweet caramel, and faint hops. Tastes of nice caramel malt, roasted malt, and then a nice earthy hoppy finish. Very smooth, a bit warming, a nice amount of carbonation. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 6, 2009 This beer pours a thin off white head with a cloudy amber orange color. The nose is nice and floral and has some hints of malt but nothing intense. the flavor starts off with a big malty and hoppy bite then the toffee and caramel hit you but that hop bite never leaves. It is rather refreshing but nothing special, it lacks some after taste quality and could use some more spice. Overall it has nice carbonation and a nice balance. fdr137 (32), , New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 28, 2009 12 oz bottle. Clear orange/amber color, with a thin white head. Aroma is vanilla and butter mostly. The taste is also pretty poor, oily, buttery, not quite enough hops to actually make this an ESB. Poor really.
