| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 10, 2004 Aroma: Caramel malt aroma, some hop but not much, some buttery notes as well
Appearance: Copper colored, very clear, low head retention
Flavor: Caramel, malty flavor with some earthy hop. Bitterness is moderate but with some underlying sweetness. Bready malts. Diacetyl is there, but not detracting.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light mouthfeel.
Overall: I liked this beer. Some people may find the diacetyl a bit much, but I found it to be a nice ale, and easy to drink. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2004 Sweet floral hops play with caramel malt in the nose. Pale amber colour with two finger white head that diminishes to a thick cover. Caramel very noticeable in the flavour, balanced by a good, strong bitterness. Fruitiness appears in the finish. Lively carbonation and medium body. An excellent pale ale. Very enjoyable. Bottle. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
