Clear orange bronze color. Small head that faded quickly. Sweet and sour flavors, Candy coating, carmel, lemon, apple. Little oily, creamy. Lite linguring bitterness. Pretty tasty, more than I was expecting. Gaining more respect for Shipyard. Veldy (42), Coon Rapids, Minnesota, USA

The flavor is quite good, with proper amounts of caramel. I think there are two negatives for this brew ... a little too carbonated and just a tad to bitter in the aftertaste (compared to its English original). TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Wicked, funky bitter flavours that could be spoiled oranges. A mediocre attempt at a cool London ale. . . Dorwart (1828), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2004 Thin head of fine bubbles with good carbonation. Malt and hops aroma. Plesant. Color is a dark golden/orange. Flavor is balanced very well between the hops and malt. Also a hint of caramel. Finish is clean and smooth. A good english ale. Not sure if I would call it a strong ale though. Little light on the alcohol and the palate is not thick enough. A good beer none-the-less.
