Cask, Golden, dull with an off-white head. Aromas are tea with hints of nuttiness. Green hops with spices. Flavours are woody and dry with tea. Hints of sulphur. Has a bitter finish.

Jun 3, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber with a thick offwhite head. Fruity nose. Good bitterness, some fruit, but unfortunately also some metallic notes. A bit watery. Not quite there.

Apr 18, 2008 Cask (handpump), Wetherspoons Piccadilly, Manchester. Amber/orange colour. Slightly estery fruity aroma. Nice balance of sweetish fruity malt and citric hop. Very clean mouthfeel. Smooth aftertaste with just a hint of sharp bitterness.

Apr 14, 2008 cask at weatherspoons sauchiehall st.- pours hazy golden red with a creamy off white head, tastes biscuits with good underlieing bitterness. classic english taste about it, rich flowery hops. best beer on the night.

Apr 13, 2008 Updated: Jun 9, 2008 Cask at JDW Penny Black, Bicester, 09-04-08 Pours light amber slightly hazy, some pretty good hoppiness and with a soft but tasty tang to this.
Bottle from the Naked Grape off licence, Alresford, Hampshire 07-06-08 Pours amber, fruity with nice bitterness, there are hops there but compared to the cask version they are much more of a periphial showing. Soft malty taste its ok and whilst not BCA its really not too bad at all, and getting a better mark than the cask version tried in my local JDW 3.2 so I’ll split the difference on overall score and call it 3.1 [/p]
