Dark ruby with a fleeting head. No roasted aromas discernible, all treacle and sensible English hops. The same signature soggy hay notes as the other 2 Ringwood beers I’ve had tonight. Bit of milk chocolate there, demerara, soap, sprinkle of nuts. Very Church End. Actually not too bad a beer by the end of it, just sooo boring. Certainly not an XXXX Porter by any stretch of the imagination. Milkily thin. Flatpack caramel bitter with watered down hops and roast barley extract. downender (2626), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Flavour had some milk chocolate, berry fruits with hints of earthy hops and a short bitter finish. Drinkable.
