Tastes of corn syrup and overly sweet. I wish Lithuania would export some of their better beers instead of crap like this. Cornfield (4975), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 6, 2007 Not destined to become one of my favorite Rinkuškiai brews. It pours a dirty-yet-bright yellow body with a big bubbly head that reduces to a scummy film pretty rapidly. It’s got an aroma of raw grains with some corn syrup. The flavor’s not too bad. The corn syrup fades to the background while sweet malt pushes forward. No real signs of hops. Sugary finish. Not horribly unpleasant, but nothing I’d like to try again. I’ll stick with the Žaibo.

| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Yellow straw color with a smaller, light off-white head. Light resin and grain scents covered with sugar and mild syrup. Chalky grain and light birch-wood flavors. The woody flavors intensify throughout, until the finish is a brown sugar syrup coated piece of balsa. Simple sugars to the point of being sickening. Sorry just not much of a brew. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 12, 2007 Bottle: Yellow, nice white head, thick lacing. Nose of nutty malt, light hops, clean. The flavor is subtle, balanced, however you want to see it. OK, clean, maybe americanish? heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 8, 2006 I got a bottle of this in Kansas City. Pale gold with a large white head. Teh aroma is sweet potatoes with some light spice of ginger. The taste has some light potatoes with some celery and a hint of green bell peppers. The finish is slightly metallic. Just another boring light lager. Braudog (3778), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Apr 8, 2007 From a bottle at Brickskeller, the place of all places. What do you write about a lagery visual? Very yellow, pale, still, hardly any head, just a bubbly flourish. Smooth, candied malt, virtually no bitterness. Almost completely flavorless, just a yellow malt drink. Very well made blandness. (#2777, 4/6/2007) ratman197 (3262), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Bottle poured a clear pale yellow with a minimal white ring of a head. Aromas of straw, light corn and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied, crisp and watery. Flavors of light straw, white bread and a faint hint of citrus with a crisp clean watery finish. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Y’know, people look at a beer rater with over 1800 rating and think ’Wow, I bet his life is all bright lights and glamour". Well sure, I get the highs, the esteem, the accolades, the prestige that comes with with it, but what they don’t see is the work that happens in the trenches, the dirty jobs come with it. Like drinking a mildly crappy Lithuanian Lager to get another tick on the ratings list. Where’s the glamour now?
